French Resistance – photography exhibition

The photography exhibition, “The National Council of the Resistance” – the French Resistance – on the railings of the Town Hall of the 14th arrondissement of Paris, from 17 May to 1 June 2024, addresses the theme of the Occupation and the beginnings of the Resistance in 1944.

The exhibition shows the role of Jean Moulin in the unification of the Resistance (1940-1944) in the southern zone. It also specifies the conditions of the constituent meeting of 27 May 1943 which was held on the first floor of 48 rue du Four in the 6th arrondissement of Paris.

After the Gestapo arrested Jean Moulin in Caluire et Cuire, Georges Bodault led the National Council of the Resistance (CNR).

The Fondation de la Résistance designed and produced the exhibition with the help of partners such as museums, archive centres, libraries, foundations, and families of resistance fighters.
